Wow. This takes me back to when I actually watched Big Brother. Reality TV legend Dr. Will Kirby pulled the wool over his castmates’ eyes and won Season 2 back in 2001. Mike “Boogie” Malin was by his side and later won Big Brother: All Stars.
Apparently, Mike has been after Dr. Will for years to compete with him in The Amazing Race, and he just won’t take no for an answer. The duo were asked to compete in 2019, but when the BB icon turned it down, Boogie kept trying to convince him to do it. Mike’s had a tough time since his glory days on reality television, and he needs the paycheck.
In 2021, Mike was convicted of felony stalking of his Big Brother bestie, after pleading no contest. He was sentenced to two years’ probation, but he just can’t seem to help himself. This time Boogie got himself into trouble by contacting Will’s wife.

TMZ reports that Boogie was arrested on March 7. He’s spending some time “at camp” for missing his court date for violating his restraining order against Dr. Will.
Will’s attorney, Sam Ahmadpour, told TMZ, “Protective orders exist for a reason, and no one is above the law. We expect full accountability for this violation.”
In 2019 when the former dynamic duo were invited to compete on The Amazing Race, Will declined the offer. He doesn’t believe BB stars do well on other reality shows. Plus, he was busy with his career as an aesthetic dermatologist and professor of dermatology.
When Dr. Will turned down the opportunity, producers were no longer interested in Mike. That’s when Boogie took his disappointment to another level and started making threats against Will and his family. Hence the restraining order.
Mike’s bail is reportedly set at $200,000, and his next court date is March 20.
In addition to his other troubles, Boogie was also arrested in January 2025 for shoplifting from a Los Angeles CVS store.
