Host Jeff Probst has big plans for Survivor 50. The series is honoring the major milestone by crafting a cast of legendary castaways for the upcoming returning players season. We don’t know which former castaways will get the call to fly to Fiji but we have some ideas.
Here are the castaways we hope to see on Survivor 50.
Cirie Fields may return for Survivor 50
Cirie Fields is one Survivor legend who has been rumored to appear on Survivor 50. Fans fell in love with the South Carolina native in 2006 when she took home fourth place on Survivor: Panama. She returned four times after that after that and while she never managed to take home a win, her name is very respected in the Survivor fandom. She is often referred to as “the best to never win” and regarded as one of the most intelligent players to appear on the show.
Will Carolyn Wiger return for Survivor 50?
Carolyn Wiger is one of the most beloved “new era” players. She wasn’t able to win over the jury on Survivor 44 but her eccentric personality made her a fan favorite. Carolyn’s name always pops up in conversations about a returning players season. She’s reality TV gold and Survivor would be silly not to utilize her talents for Season 50. I think it is quite likely we will see Carolyn in Fiji next year.
Yul Kwon on the Survivor 50 cast would be amazing
Yul Kwon took home the million-dollar prize in the controversial season Survivor: Cook Islands. The California native was revered for his intelligence, which spooked his fellow castaways when he returned for Survivor: Winners at War. His threat level tarnished his game, landing him in 14th place. Fans have been eager for Yul to return after his early exit in Season 40. Survivor 50 may be his chance for redemption.
Kim Spradlin could join the Survivor 50 cast
Viewers love Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, making her an obvious choice for Survivor 50. The Interior Designer played a masterful game on Survivor: One World, earning her the title of Sole Survivor and the adoration of fans. Like Yul, her reputation hurt her chances on Survivor: Winners at War. She came in 9th place, which upset fans who were rooting for the beloved castaway.
The Survivor 50 cast might include Andy Rueda
Andy Rueda had a real hero’s journey on Survivor 47. His game started messy thanks to his public breakdown in Episode 1. But over time, his game improved and his confidence grew. The merge allowed Andy to break away from the Gata tribe and forge a new path in the game. He formed new alliances, orchestrated blindsides, and crafted some of the most impressive moves of the season. I would love to see Andy back in Fiji for Survivor 50.
Will Jesse Lopez be on the Survivor 50 cast?
Jesse Lopez was the favorite to win Survivor 43 but his inability to make fire cost him the grand prize. His loss disappointed viewers who wanted to see him crowned Sole Survivor. I think he deserves another shot at the million. His name always comes up in conversations about which new-era players fans want to return. Let’s hope he gets the call for Season 50.
Genevieve Mushaluk may return for Survivor 50
Genevieve Mushaluk played an excellent game on Survivor 47 despite missing out on the million. She made bold moves, which made her a huge threat and an easy target for her fellow castaways. She managed to evade elimination by devising schemes that tanked other players’ games while she survived unscathed. Eventually, her scheming caught up with her and she was voted out at the final six. I, like many viewers, am dying to see her play again.
Jeremy Collins would make the Survivor 50 cast amazing
Fans were excited when Jeremy Collins joined the Season 3 cast of The Traitors. Unfortunately, the Survivor legend was gone too soon after word got out that he was targeting Traitor Danielle Reyes. Jeremy’s recent reality TV performance wasn’t a home run but it may have revived his interest in the genre. The Massachusetts native is popular among viewers, making him a great candidate for the upcoming season.
Survivor airs on CBS.
