Are Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard and West Wilson Feuding?

West Wilson is potentially feuding with his Summer House costar, Lindsay Hubbard. It’s a surprise considering that Lindsay credits herself with getting West on the show. She’s also a publicity maven, and a player in the reality TV game for quite some time now.

Until these rumors surfaced, West and Lindsay were friendly with one another. But an off-hand comment from the sports writer regarding his costar’s future on Summer House may have changed the trajectory of their friendship.

West Wilson denies Summer House feud with Lindsay Hubbard

During the March 12 episode of Watch What Happens Live, West denied being in a “media war” with Lindsay.

A month prior, the reality TV star stated in an interview that there was “no way” Lindsay would film again for Summer House. The veteran Bravolebrity gave birth to her first child in December 2024. And her new role as a mother had many questioning how she could manage to film in a party house.

Lindsay responded bluntly by saying she was “down for a media war” over West’s comments. WWHL host Andy Cohen asked his guest to respond. West suggested that the story “got clickbaited real bad.”

“I brought up how much I loved Lindsay this summer and was asked if she would come back to the house. And I said ‘No way unless we get a babysitter,’” he explained. “Got headlined real bad. And I’ve written headlines before. What you’re supposed to do is keep it in the same narrative.”

The sports writer suggested the headlines departed a “full 180” from what he actually said. However, it wouldn’t be the first time that West was called out for his responses during interviews.

“But I called Lindsay, we squashed it,” he told Andy.

Lindsay gave West advice on giving better interviews

For her part, the former publicist went on the March 6 episode of Betches’ Mention It All podcast to respond. Lindsay said she had “love” for her Summer House star, but cautioned him on better using his words.

“I told him, I was like, ‘Look, here’s the problem that I have with this statement. The problem I’m having is, I just became a mother and this is my job and I need to be a provider for my daughter,’” Lindsay said.

She continued, “You going around being like, ‘There’s no way [she’s returning],’ is not really helpful, and is actually really hurtful. I thought we were friends and I’m trying to be financially independent and provide for my daughter. You saying, ‘There’s no way,’ is really [expletive] up.’”

Lindsay would have hoped for a more optimistic sound bite. She suggested, “‘Oh, God, I really hope so.’ Or, ‘I’m here because of her, so I hope they figure out a way to include her despite the fact that she has a daughter.’ Say anything besides, ‘There’s no way.’”

“But if you want to go, then let’s [expletive] have a media war,” she concluded. “I’m down. I’m so down for a media war with West Wilson.”
