Teddi Mellencamp continues making cancer her b*tch amid an arduous health journey. The Two Ts In A Pod host has been keeping followers well-informed of the progress she’s made since undergoing the removal of some brain tumors.
Upon being released from the hospital, Teddi is making a new normal for herself. She’s not sitting in bed pondering her next medical move, nope, Teddi put on riding boots and saddled up her horse, Toad. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is back in the ring and she isn’t alone. Teddi’s daughter Slate participated in the World Championship Hunter Rider event with her mom and both riders looked great.
After nurturing her mental health with some kid and horse therapy, now Teddi is moving on to the next hurdle, radiation. Her most recent cancer update comes via Instagram.
Teddi Mellencamp is facing her cancer journey with bravery
This week Teddi shared some good news with fans. She posted some photos on Instagram highlighting an equestrian show that had some healing aspects. Teddi also advised radiation is up next on her fight schedule.
She wrote, “Two exciting things happened: I got to bond with my girl @slate_mellencamp_eq and watch her become the circuit champion on Catniss in the 3’6” 15-and-under Junior Hunters.” Teddi also shared how crucial it is to her to keep hanging out with her beloved Toad. “And I got to get on my boy, Toad. Something I was worried I would never be able to do again. All while the immunotherapy kicked my butt (which the docs say that means it’s working),” she added.
Teddi made sure to include how imperative it is to maintain a positive outlook and fight dark thoughts as well as the main medical issues. “When you’re battling cancer or any sickness, mental health is just as important as physical. To get to ride again, with Slate by my side, is the best supplement to the medical treatments that I am confident will wipe out these tumors,” Teddi shared.
What will assist in wiping out those damn tumors is radiation. Along with the immunotherapy, Teddi and her medical team are determined to keep the cancer at bay. “My heart and soul got a huge boost this weekend. And now I’m more than ready to start radiation this week,” she concluded.
