Nick Cannon Is ‘Not Done’ Having Kids Even After Baby No. 12

“The Masked Singer” host Nick Cannon is not ready to get a vasectomy or stop having kids. In the latest segment of “We Playin’ Spades,” the comedian’s guests jokingly asked Cannon to consider a vasectomy. However, he responded by saying he was “not done.” Moreover, when his co-host, Courtney Bee, asked if he considered having more children, Cannon said he left it “to the lord.” After twelve kids with six women, the doting dad seemed in no rush to stop expanding the Cannon family.

Nick Cannon on getting a vasectomy: ‘I’m not done’

In the latest episode of “We Playin’ Spades,” Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee hosted Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder. The former NFL stars discussed their experiences with vasectomies when Crowder steered the topic toward Cannon. Crowder quipped at Cannon, “It’s another man at this table that needs to think about that s–t.” The father of 12 promptly caught on to the implication. He laughed, responding, “Feel like this is an intervention.”

Cannon, who has spoken about his non-traditional views on relationships, believes in “consensual, open relationships,” according to his statement on “The Breakfast Club” in August 2021. Moreover, he has been open about his deep love for his children, calling them a “blessing.” Cannon’s refusal to stop having more of them was thus not a surprise to those familiar with his views on fatherhood.

During the episode, Bee asked whether Cannon planned to “outsource” his potential next child, pointing at the latter’s polyamory. In response, the multi-hyphenated celebrity said, “I don’t know,” adding, “I leave it to the Lord.” Cannon’s answer aligned with his previous statements about not having planned most of his kids. During his appearance on Dr. Laura Berman’s “The Language of Love” podcast in 2023, Cannon reflected, “As much as I was open to every single child that I have, I can’t say the majority of them were planned.”

While discussing vasectomy in “We Playin’ Spades,” Cannon referred to his testicles, revealing he insured his “precious cargo” for $10 million. Jokingly, he added, “Should’ve been $12 million. One for each kid.” The “Wild ‘n Out” creator shares twelve children with six women, including twins with Mariah Carey. However, despite admitting that having a vasectomy is the “responsible thing to do,” Nick Cannon clarified he was open to having another child, because as he told on Dr. Laura Berman’s podcast, “the more the merrier.”
