On March 19, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco crashed the “Spring Breakers” screening party at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York. The audience was left pleasantly surprised, cheering for the couple when they made their appearance. The singer addressed the crowd, asking, “Did you guys enjoy one of my favorite movies ever?”
She went on to thank her fans for being there, exclaiming that the movie meant the world to her. Gomez was moved to see everyone gathered to watch her 2013 film, noting that it was all “so special.” According to Variety, she went on to pull out her phone to take a selfie with her fans. Moreover, she promised to send it to the movie’s director, Harmony Korine, and her co-stars.
Blanco also addressed the crowd, beginning by asking, “Spring Breakers forever, b—–s?” He stated that their album would be coming out on Thursday. However, they wanted to do something extra special for the people who came to watch the movie. The audience got to enjoy listening to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s new song, “Bluest Flame.” In addition, they were handed out USB drives with the same.
The producer joked that their label was going to “shoot” them when they learned of this stunt that they pulled. However, fans were ecstatic to receive the surprise gift from the singer and her fiancé. Many acknowledged that the idea was so “wacky” but they loved it.
