Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais have been besties for years. Usually, they have each other’s backs. I can’t recall them even getting into an argument in RHOBH. However, that changed during a recent episode of the show.
It’s no secret that Sutton has always wanted to be friends with Kyle Richards. They have a rocky relationship, teetering between being friends and enemies. Yet, for some reason, Sutton still wants to have Kyle in her squad.
For Garcelle, it wasn’t an issue until recently. During the cast trip to Saint Lucia, Sutton didn’t back up Garcelle when she expected her to, causing Garcelle to feel disappointed. And when Sutton was being supportive of Kyle, it was too much for Garcelle to handle, leading to their first fight.
So, is RHOBH’s Kyle coming between Sutton and Garcelle? Will Sutton and Garcelle be able to work through their issues?
Garcelle Beauvais knows that Kyle Richards doesn’t stand up for Sutton Stracke on RHOBH
As much as Sutton wants to be friends with Kyle, Garcelle knows that when push comes to shove, Kyle doesn’t back Sutton up. No matter how vicious someone is towards Sutton, Kyle will stay mum. And this is hurtful to Sutton. She has referenced this many times on RHOBH.
So, during the dinner in Saint Lucia, Garcelle must have been surprised that both Kyle and Jennifer Tilly stood up for Sutton. Of course, this led to Sutton feeling over the moon that Kyle finally had her back. She sounded off in her confessional. “Kyle stepping up for me … see I knew we were friends. I knew it!” Sutton said. “And now everybody does, too.”
When Sutton asked both Kyle and Garcelle to accompany her to Georgia to visit her mother, it showed how she feels about these two ladies. Yes, both women had lost their mothers and understood Sutton’s desire to fix her relationship with her mother, Reba. Yet, it was Garcelle who spoke to Reba privately, asking her to let her daughter know how proud she was of her. While Reba bristled at Garcelle discussing her relationship with her daughter, she didn’t have any ill will towards Garcelle. It was clear that Garcelle had Sutton’s best interests at heart.

During that tropical dinner, Garcelle decided to ask Kyle about what was going on with her friend, Morgan Wade. “We don’t know what that situation is,” Garcelle told Kyle.
There was speculation that Kyle and Morgan were an item, but Kyle insisted that they were just friends. According to Garcelle, there are photos of Kyle and Morgan, yet the RHOBH friend group is supposed to pretend that Morgan doesn’t exist.
Finally, Kyle responded, “There is no situation there.” She added that maybe someday, she would have a great story to tell. “I hope you do. I hope you have a great story to tell,” Sutton told Kyle. Garcelle clocked Sutton’s support of Kyle. Yet she didn’t have Garcelle’s back.
During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Garcelle told Sutton, “I wish you would have said something so that I’m not the only one asking all the questions.” She added, “You could have backed me up and then came to the room and said leave Kyle alone.”
Of course, Sutton apologized, but she was also trying to be sensitive to Kyle’s feelings. Whether or not Kyle is dating is Kyle’s business. As for Garcelle, she isn’t shy about telling us about her previous boyfriends, like Will Smith and Eddie Murphy. However, Garcelle is correct about one thing. If Sutton and Garcelle were in Kyle’s position, the RHOBH ladies would never let the subject drop.
Can RHOBH stars Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke repair their friendship?
After the dinner, when Garcelle tried to express her feelings to Sutton, the boutique owner was thrilled that Kyle stood up for her. So, Garcelle told Sutton that she has “a blindfold on” when it comes to Kyle.
Garcelle had Sutton’s back many times over the years. So much so that she has been called Sutton’s mouthpiece. Plus, Garcelle even stood by Sutton when she referenced her net worth and wallet size in a nasty argument with Dorit.
After a frustrating evening, Garcelle stormed off to bed. Watching these close-knit friends argue felt unsettling. They are a dynamic duo and watching them not understand each other’s point of view was … sad.
The next morning, the duo made up over breakfast. However, Garcelle was more hurt than she admitted. During a boat excursion in Saint Lucia, when Erika Jayne, and later Dorit Kemsley, came for Sutton, Garcelle didn’t stand up for her. While she didn’t like seeing the pile-on, Garcelle also recalled how Sutton didn’t have her back the previous night.
I do think that Sutton and Garcelle can repair their friendship. While Sutton is sometimes focused on Kyle when their relationship is in a good spot, she needs to remember the friend who is always there for her: Garcelle. She needs to have Garcelle’s back, like Garcelle has hers. If Sutton does that, they will be chilling at Garcelle’s beach house for years to come.
