Benny Blanco recently got candid about how his fiancée, Selena Gomez, turned him into a Taylor Swift fan. The engaged couple finally dropped their collaboration studio album, “I Said I Love You First,” on March 21. Ahead of the big release, Blanco and Gomez appeared on the new episode of “Hot Ones” amid the ongoing promotions of the record.
During the segment, while discussing their musical tastes, Blanco revealed that Gomez introduced him to her longtime friend‘s discography. The 37-year-old record producer said, “I honestly didn’t know,” and continued, “Before we started dating, like, obviously I was aware of, like, Taylor Swift’s music.” However, Blanco noted that he “wasn’t like a true Swiftie” until he got with Gomez.
Blanco continued to share how things changed after he started dating Gomez. The record producer shared, “And now I’ll be like, ‘Put that song on. How’s that one go again?'” Blanco added, “And we’re in the car, and I’m like, ‘Wow I’m just, like, singing Taylor Swift songs from, like, 10 years ago and I’m like feel free.'” Gomez then complimented Swift’s impressive discography and noted that her songs are “timeless.”
Gomez and Swift have continued to share their admiration and support for each other over the years. When the 32-year-old singer announced her engagement to Blanco in December, Swift couldn’t stop gushing over the exciting news. She even revealed her role in Gomez’s wedding, writing, “yes I will be the flower girl.”
