Reportedly, they made this decision way before the lawsuit unfolded. As of this writing, neither of the two stars has confirmed their absence at the fashion event.
However, this isn’t the first time that the couple will reportedly be skipping the Met Gala. According to Elle, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds didn’t attend the event last year as they wanted to spend quality time with their four children — daughters James, Inez, Betty, and son Olin. The last time the duo attended the gala was in 2022 when they took on the role of co-chairs alongside Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
