Brittany Eady is now gracing our screens via Season 16 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. In a recent episode, Brit teased about one of her former beaus, rapper Rick Ross.

However, Brit and Rick did not last long. As Season 16 shows, this entrepreneur, model, and businesswoman is now in a happy marriage with Michael Cunningham. But, before Michael rode in on his magical carpet straight out of a Disney Rom-Com, Rick was her guy. Rick is everywhere, as he sings, “Every day, [he is] hustling.”

But how long was Rick with Brit? And what else do we know about their relationship? When did their romance end, allowing Brit the space to snag Mike? Here’s where you find out the details.

Let’s begin with what we know about this starter relationship. After all, Brit brought this long-passed pairing up on RHOA, so it is fair game.

Brit spoke about Rick during Season 16 of RHOA in Episode 3. “Is it true that you dated Rick Ross?” a producer asked as Brit sat in her interview chair looking cheeky. All Brit would say is, “So, yes, I did date Rick Ross, but that chapter is in the past.”

Brit followed her statement with a quick topic change, like a well-seasoned, professional businesswoman and wife. “Mike, that’s my baby and the best three years of my life,” Brit gushed. As she should.

When Rick and Brit started dating or split up, Brit (and the internet) never shared. The only bit of tea found states that the pair got photographed together at the BET Hip Hop Awards Weekend Takeover in 2016 (Rick co-hosted this event alongside DJ Khaled and Lil Wayne). So, sometime around 2016 (maybe), this duo took place.

Other than the quick one-liner above, Brit has not shared any additional information about her past pairing with Rick. However, this insurance maven has a YouTube channel boasting only one video (for now). In this video slash interview, Brit spoke about the insurance industry. Then, around the midway mark, she finally spilled a few additional drops of info regarding her time spent with Rick.

When prompted to explain what went wrong in her relationship with Rick, Brit stressed, “When we met, it was a sweep-you-off-your-feet” style of relationship. “It was like a fairy tale,” Brit added. However, this romance “never felt real,” she explained, noting that this relationship made her feel like she was “dreaming.”

Nevertheless, Brit clarified how she and Rick “had fun. We lived. We traveled. I was there for him when he went through that whole case [with the] ankle monitor,” she said, touching on his 2015 charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery that Rick struck a plea deal on in 2017, closing his case.

Through Rick, Brit partied on a “stupid crazy” yacht with a prince from the Saudi royal family. After Rick performed, the prince did not want to let them leave. It was almost like they were being “held hostage,” Brit recalled. As Rick tried to help them exit, security, complete with guns and rifles, appeared, but exit they did, Brit clarifies, further proving her point that this relationship landed like a fever dream in her life.

Regardless of their break-up, Brit remembers Rick as “a cool guy” with “an amazing family.” She enjoyed this “chapter” of her life.

Who is Brit Eady’s current husband Michael “Mike” Cunningham?

As fun as Rick was, Brit is now married to her (hopefully) forever man, Mike. On a podcast, Brit explained that she and Mike met through insurance, AKA her bread and butter. Mike was one of her clients. They “went to Vegas in September and were engaged by Christmas.” Brit joked. “So he went from absolutely not [being] married to being engaged in a couple of months,” she laughed.

After their first date, the couple were “together every day.” As Mike raved, Brit “was different, like a breath of fresh air. She’s my best friend.” His best friend also noted that she had “her own money when she met Mike,” who works as an “Investor, Developer, Entrepreneur, and Jet Broker, according to his Instagram bio.

Brit and Mike have a “healthy relationship,” Brit shared. Mike, a now twice-married fella, agreed. After their first date, they traveled everywhere, like New York and Miami. Brit and Mike were “together every day,” so it made sense that they eventually decided to marry in 2020, otherwise known as the height of the pandemic.

Brit received a seven-and-a-half-carat engagement ring in 2020 from Mike. However, as she noted during the premiere episode of RHOA Season 16, Mike recently upgraded her to “a 10-carat solitaire.” Hopefully, they can also update their wedding experience now that the pandemic has passed. Could Rick score an invite as their guest? Only time will tell.

Real Housewives of Atlanta is streaming on Peacock.
