Before making a name for herself as a successful comedian and internet personality, Hannah Berner was a reality TV star. She joined Summer House in Season 3 as a main cast member and was fired from the series after Season 5. Her run on the show ended on a chaotic note, thanks to her rollercoaster feud with Kyle Cooke. It was such a bad on-screen blow-up that Kyle and Amanda Batula chose to not invite Hannah to their wedding.
Now that it’s been a few years after her unexpected Bravo termination, Hannah is spilling all of the tea on how it all went down.
Summer House alum Hannah Berner was devastated to be fired
Hannah was a recent guest on YouTuber Jay Shetty’s On Purpose Podcast. During the segment, she revealed several details about her Bravo firing, including that she was told she was being let go via Zoom.
“You’re getting fired for like being you, so it was pretty hurtful,” she explained in the March 19 episode.
“And also you felt like you lost all the friends who the show was about. It basically was like, ‘no one wants to be friends with you anymore.’ Looking back it was such a blessing.”
She didn’t name-drop any of her former castmates who she believes shunned her after getting fired.
Hannah does host the Giggly Squad podcast with current Summer House star Paige DeSorbo, but judging by her social media, she doesn’t have any kind of relationship with the rest of the Summer House cast now.
Nevertheless, post-reality TV Hannah is doing well for herself. With a growing online fanbase and a Netflix stand-up special, she’s quickly building a name for herself outside of the series.
Although she has made it known that she’s not opposed to coming back to Summer House if the opportunity arises.
Summer House is available to stream on Peacock.
