Blackpink’s Lisa Was ‘Too Shy’ to Fangirl Over Justin Bieber

Blackpink member Lisa recently revealed in an interview that she was “too shy” to fangirl over Justin Bieber upon meeting him. The singers got together for a “quick hi,” but the K-pop idol unfortunately missed her opportunity to express her love for his music. Lisa also noted that, similar to most, she was a huge fan of Bieber when she was young and knew every lyric of one of his biggest hits.

Blackpink’s Lisa recalls meeting Justin Bieber for a ‘quick hi’

Blackpink’s Lisa recently touched upon her love for Justin Bieber, revealing that she couldn’t fangirl over him even after meeting him in person. In an interview with The Guardian, she stated that there was one song that she knew every lyric to. The song is none other than Bieber’s “Baby,” featuring Ludacris.

While reminiscing about how she was one of the many who were huge fans of the singer, she recollected meeting him a few years back. However, she couldn’t tell him how much she loved his music because she was “too shy.” Lisa also clarified that the duo met up for just a “quick hi.” While discussing her love for the song “Baby,” she told the outlet, “I think everyone was a Bieber fan when they were young.”

The K-pop idol also revealed the very first song she fell in love with. She stated that it was thanks to her older cousin’s love for Britney Spears that she discovered the single “Baby One More Time.” As for her preference for some recent hits, Lisa loves waking up to SZA’s “Snooze,” switching to “Eternal Sunshine” by Ariana Grande later in the day. However, her top pick for karaoke is Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” She noted that it was a fun song to jam to while at a karaoke bar.

Funnily enough, when asked about a song that she no longer listens to, the Blackpink member listed one of the girl group’s biggest hits, “Boombayah.” However, she clarified it wasn’t the song itself, just that the beats were a bit too “aggressive.”
