It’s no secret that Bethenny Frankel has some strong opinions on Meghan Markle. Over the years, the Real Housewives of New York alum has never failed to share her two cents about the royal … and they’ve never been positive remarks. From calling Meghan a “terrible businessperson” to slamming her for venting about her experience in the royal family, Bethenny has been spearheading a one-sided feud since 2021.
Recently, Meghan returned to TV with her very own Netflix cooking show With Love, Meghan. And within a month since its premiere, the show has already been hit with a massive wave of criticism. The biggest claim was that Meghan exudes too much upper-class energy, making the series lose its authenticity.
It’s no surprise that Bethenny has something to say about it too. But her comments are not what fans would expect.
Bethenny Frankel thinks Meghan Markle’s Netflix show is an honest representation of her life
Bethenny was a recent guest on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast. During her segment, Meghan’s show became a topic of discussion. And surprisingly, she didn’t join the bandwagon of the show’s critics. Instead, the former reality TV star came to the defense of Meghan and her upscale life.
“He’s a prince. She was a duchess. So she’s got a glossy perfect show of her house — what is she supposed to do? Be like me and have seaweed in her teeth?,” she asked during the March 25 episode.
Bethenny also went on to give a word of encouragement to Meghan directly.
“Be who you actually are. We’ll meet you there. Don’t just get caught in the riptide between both.”
It’s unclear what changed Bethenny’s perception of Meghan after years of public disses. Nevertheless, the lifestyle show has already been renewed for Season 2, so despite the negative reviews, the royal has got the last laugh.
