Jax Taylor’s Surprising Excuse After Brittany Cartwright Found Thong in The Valley Trailer

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s divorce is gearing up to be the central mess on The Valley Season 2. Their split is anything but amicable, and neither one is holding back from throwing shade at the other. Jax might be on a path to sobriety, but he can’t kick his old bad habits when it comes to relationships.

Unlike other Bravolebs, Jax isn’t just teasing fans ahead of The Valley Season 2 premiere. He’s already making excuses for his behavior in the trailer for drama with Brittany that we haven’t even watched play out yet. But do we expect anything less from the No. 1 Guy in the Group?

Jax recently graced the cover of Us Weekly to talk about his sobriety, his split from Brittany and The Valley Season 2. He addressed a particular moment in the trailer when Brittany admitted to finding a thong in her bathroom sink after Jax had a girl over at their home the night before. “He had a girl staying here at the house again last night. There is a thong on my bathroom sink,” she said. “Why was there a baby wipe on top of it?” Clearly, fans had a lot of questions.

Although we haven’t seen the entire scene, Jax is already combatting Brittany’s POV about the entire thing. “It was a brand new pair. There was a tag on it,” Taylor said. “We did these bar crawls and girls sometimes leave us with things. And that’s what that was.” A likely story from the infamous Vanderpump Rules alum.

Then, Jax blamed Brittany for blowing the entire thing out of proportion. He claimed that at the time, they were both hooking up with other people. “All the rules were off,” he said. “It was not like that at all. It was just, again, her creating her own narrative.” To be clear, any woman finding underwear that isn’t theirs in their bathroom sink would be mad, regardless of the situation. However, Jax doesn’t agree.

In fact, he said he would proudly “own it” if he did hook up with another woman in their family home. Jax, buddy, this isn’t as strong of an argument as you think it is.

The Valley Season 2 premieres Tuesday, April 15 at 9/8c on Bravo.
