Sutton Stracke’s wallet-size comment will live in infamy in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills history. Despite her net worth being a cool $50 million, it was arguably gauche to refer to her wealth during a confrontation with Dorit Kemsley.
The two did not manage to settle their differences before filming wrapped for the Season 14 finale. So the issue is likely to come up again at the RHOBH reunion. For her part, Dorit managed to get one extra dig in before then.
Dorit Kemsley thinks RHOBH co-star Sutton Stracke wants to “buy” friendships
On the March 25 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Dorit shared a shocking theory to costar Bozoma Saint John as to why Sutton made the comment about her wallet. Bravo’s The Daily Dish shared the exclusive clip.
The veteran RHOBH star complained of being “tired” of Sutton using “every kind of deflection possible. As per Dorit, the list includes “insane reactions,” “storming out,” and “not showing up.” Summing up her feelings, Dorit stated, “B*tch, if you can dish it, you better f*cking be able to take it.”
Boz questioned why others gave Sutton a pass on her alleged behavior. Jennifer Tilly certainly comes to mind. However, it’s worth noting that Erika Jayne certainly was vocal about her issues with the boutique owner towards the end of the season.
“I’m going to say something very, very controversial,” Dorit said. “Sutton, she wants to buy her friendships.”
Dorit explained her reasoning
Dorit argued her claim with an anecdote about Sutton allegedly buying a $25,000 table at Garcelle Beauvais’ fundraiser when they first joined the RHOBH group. Prior to that, the mother-of-two claimed that Garcelle “did not like Sutton at all.” Dorit stated that “Sutton was not having it” and “wanted Garcelle’s affection.”
“And then Garcelle was at Sutton’s for New Year’s Eve not too long after. And they became friends,” she continued. “I think Sutton counts on her wallet to get what she wants, rather than using [her heart].”
Regardless of how it might have come about, the two ladies have had a solid friendship for some time. To the point that the exiting RHOBH star was often called out on how supportive of Sutton she was.
Boz joked that Sutton has yet to pull the alleged card with her. The RHOBH newbie stated that Sutton “didn’t spend enough” during the cast trip to St. Lucia that she hosted.
“When she has to, she will,” Dorit snarked.
As per the finale, Dorit and Sutton “remain on ice.” And this latest comment will only inflame matters further.
