She recently opened up about her divorce and ex-husband Chuvalo Mark Ferrell, and the revelations left fans with some empathy for the mother of four. Fans learned that Kelli and Chuvalo were married for 11 years and filed for divorce in 2022. The couple had three daughters together: Chance, Chasiti, and Chelsi. Chuvalo is an “Entrepreneurial Visionary: Riding Culinary Excellence and Musical Mastery,” according to his LinkedIn profile. The father of three owns Blak on Blak Enterprise which is an independent record label. Currently, he is working with a Floridian artist named Smakka Bihh. Chuvalo recently opened up a rival restaurant named Uncle Butch’s Chicken -N- Waffles, in Conyers, Georgia.
What was Kelli Ferrell and Chuvalo Mark Ferrell’s divorce settlement?
Kelli’s divorce settlement from Chuvalo was recently revealed via In Touch. The judge ordered the parties to share joint legal custody of their three children. However, Kelli was awarded primary custody and has the right to make any decisions regarding the kids’ education and non-emergency healthcare. Chuvalo has to pay $3,991 per month in child support and maintain health insurance for his daughters. Their marital home was sold, and the judge noted they would split the proceeds.
The settlement read, “The parties owned and operated a restaurant together during the marriage, Nana’s Chicken N Waffles, and through that business venture, the parties incurred various debts. Regarding marital debts, the parties guaranteed multiple business loans from various third parties and creditors.” The documents show that Kelli was awarded $175,000, and $90,000 went to Chuvalo. The legal papers also noted, “During their separation, the parties defaulted on accrued federal sales taxes and Georgia state tax liabilities stemming from business operations from 2017 to 2022,” with Chuvalo having “disposed of approximately $790,000 of marital assets.” Kelli walked away with all the household furniture, which was worth $45,000.

Along with the furniture, Kelli was also awarded a 2021 Navy Blue Cadillac Escalade, a Rolex Oyster watch, a diamond necklace, and her wedding ring set. The divorce settlement came only a few weeks after Chuvalo was arrested for failing to pay child support. On August 7, a judge granted Kelli’s request to have her ex-husband arrested until he decided to pay the $14,889 he owed. In the recent episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kelli accused Chuvalo of infidelity. She told Brit Eady, “It was cheating. He took almost $500,000 out of the company’s money.”
Kelli went on to explain that her ex-husband cleared out the Nana’s Chicken and Waffles bank account. After she filed the lawsuit, she left her marital home as she feared for her safety. Kelli told her friend that her leaving resulted in a “physical” altercation between them. In her RHOA confessional, she noted, “Honestly, I probably should have an Oscar for as much as I made my marriage or my family look like it was all together. From me sleeping in my closet some nights, police being called numerous times. It became the house of hell.” But Kelli is only looking forward.
