Ellen Pompeo could not hold back from gushing about Taylor Swift as she recalled the pop star writing her the “biggest check.” On the latest episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the actor shared her admiration for the singer. While in conversation during the segment, Pompeo revealed her connection to Swift after making a cameo in the music video for her 2014 hit song “Bad Blood.”

Ellen Pompeo recently revealed how Taylor Swift wrote her the “biggest check” after she made a cameo in the music video for “Bad Blood.” During the April 2 episode of the “Jennifer Hudson Show,” the actor got candid about her connection with the pop star. Pompeo first gushed over Swift and shared that she gets “cool points” with her kids after starring in the singer’s music video.
Calling Swift “such a good girl,” Pompeo continued to recall, “I didn’t know her and she invited me to be in the video and I thought, ‘Oh that would be fun.'” She shared that filming her cameo in the music video “was the easiest thing.” Pompeo then got candid about Swift’s support for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she and her husband, Ivery, “do a lot of volunteering.” She shared that the hospital has a program “where they make music for the babies in the NICU.”
Pompeo explained, “And for the parents who have to go to work all day and they can’t be with the kids.” The mom of three continued, “…they record their voices singing nursery rhymes or telling them stories.” The hospital then plays it “for the babies in the day when the parents can’t be there.” Pompeo added that the “babies respond to it” and it “makes their outcomes more positive.”
Furthermore, the television personality noted that running such a program needed money. Pompeo then revealed that she asked Swift if she could write her a “big old check for Children’s.” The actor recalled, “She knew me all but 20 minutes, and that girl wrote me the biggest check without blinking an eye.”
