Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules was a bit of a hot mess. By the end of the season, the cast was bitterly divided. Pump Rules took a pause, but then Bravo decided to reboot the show. So, which OG members spoke with Lisa Vanderpump after the news broke?
Pump Rules’ new cast works for Lisa Vanderpump
While we don’t know much about the new VPR cast, we do know that they are all employed at Lisa’s restaurant, SUR. Filming was reportedly starting in early April with the new generation of SURvers.
Recently, Lisa was a guest on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, and she spilled the tea about who reached out to her after the recasting news. “I do love them all regardless of their antics and their foibles. There’s a deep love just because of what we’ve been through together and seeing them at such a young age,” Lisa explained. “Even though they’ve been very frustrating at times, for sure, and they’ve made mistakes.”
According to Lisa, she received a call from Tom Schwartz “straight away.” She continued, “He said, ‘I just want to thank you for all the opportunities you’ve given me.’ And James [Kennedy], too.“ Lisa added, “Lala [Kent], I’ve always been very close to her.”
However, it is a bit surprising who didn’t reach out. “I think Ariana [Madix] texted me or tweeted me or something. Katie [Maloney], I didn’t hear from,” Lisa stated. “But, as I say, that doesn’t really surprise me. It’s strange because I’m not saying they should be grateful to me – but they should be grateful for the show. But that show gave them a plethora of opportunities they wouldn’t necessarily have had,” she added.
I wonder if Tom Sandoval or Scheana Shay reached out to Lisa. It would seem odd if they didn’t at least text her. However, with their time on Pump Rules over, some of the cast might feel a little salty about losing their jobs. Hopefully, the new cast serves up some entertaining drama.
Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
