Why Teddi Mellencamp Was ‘Disappointed’ With Dorit Kemsley

In February 2025, Bravo fans were shocked when Teddi Mellencamp shared the news that she was diagnosed with multiple brain tumors. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum had been battling melanoma for some time. She underwent surgery and later shared that she also had tumors in her lungs. While fighting this battle, Teddi revealed that Dorit Kemsley hadn’t been as supportive as Teddi expected.

Teddi recently shared an update about her cancer battle. Unfortunately, four more tumors were discovered in her brain. Still, Teddi is a warrior. She completed her radiation treatment and rang the bell to signify the end of that journey. She is still facing several more rounds of immunotherapy. Meanwhile, Teddi’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, has been a source of support for Teddi. He gives age-appropriate updates to their three children about Teddi’s condition.

During her Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Tamra Judge, Teddi revealed that she received some support from the Bravo-verse. Teddi’s been in a feud with Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson for ages. Still, Vicki sent her a gift and a positive message. However, Teddi noted that even Vicki “reached out” before RHOBH star Dorit. Ouch.

“I was like, ‘I haven’t heard from Dorit, but I’ve heard from Vicki Gunvalson.’ Dorit was one of my best friends,” Teddi stated on the podcast, “and Vicki hates me with a burning passion.” I am stunned that Dorit didn’t reach out to her friend. Why wouldn’t she?

Then, Erika Jayne came to the rescue! “I’m good friends with Erika [Jayne], so she said, ‘Dorit does want to reach out to you now, can she?'” Teddi told US Weekly. “I [said], ‘don’t know how quick I’ll be to forgive, but sure.’ But then her message was so nice that I have to say we’ll probably be fine,” Teddi added. I can’t believe that Dorit didn’t touch base with Teddi sooner.
