Meghan Markle‘s As Ever caused a stir after products from its latest launch sold out within an hour, prompting her to apologize. The Duchess of Sussex dropped the new line of products last Wednesday, which resulted in a mishap and pulled her into another controversy as her lifestyle brand failed to deliver after all items went out of stock almost immediately. Page Six reported that Markle and her brand issued an apology via email for their shortcomings after its wildflower honey with honeycomb rapidly sold out.
Meghan Markle sent out an apology email after As Ever purchase error
The recent fuss about Meghan Markle‘s brand, As Ever, started after her newly launched products sold out. The setback left her apologizing to customers as all items, including jam, the limited-edition honey, teas, crepe mix, and more, went out of stock within an hour. This left some buyers without the desired items, with many having already purchased the wildflower honey with honeycomb when it was sold out. The company later informed these individuals that they would receive a refund.
Page Six stated that the Duchess of Sussex and her lifestyle brand also issued an apology after failing to fulfill customers’ orders. As Ever sent out an apology email, which consisted of a personal note from Markle, assuring that they were “working on replenishing inventory” and would deliver their promises after briefly explaining the purchase error to those who bought the out-of-stock honey.
The email claimed that the “excitement” around the new launch “created a volume of traffic on the site” that they weren’t expecting. The message further highlighted that the “backend of the site” couldn’t “keep up” with the quick orders and massive traffic. In addition, it guaranteed that they are currently “replenishing inventory and will gladly send you an item of your choosing to thank you for your understanding.”
Meghan Markle further addressed the issue surrounding her sold out As Ever products, primarily the limited-edition honey, in her personal note. “I was so sorry to hear about what happened with your order,” she wrote before expressing her regret for failing to deliver due to overselling. She further promised these customers that they would be the first to receive the item during the next drop. “No need to order, it will come to you in the mail as a gift from me.”
