RHOP’s Mia Thornton Seemingly Moves to Atlanta

Is The Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thornton shopping for a new Housewives franchise? Apparently, she and her family have left the DMV and moved to the ATL. Real Housewives of Atlanta just let Kenya Moore go. Maybe they have an opening.

On April 5, the mom of three posted a photo of her and her kids smiling in their new penthouse kitchen. “And she created her P E A C E,” Mia captioned the post. “We LOVE it here.”

Finally, she added the hashtags “mama bear,” “ATL,” and “penthouse living” to her post for extra emphasis. Mia shares two children, Jeremiah and Juliana, with her estranged husband Gordon Thornton, while her older son Joshua is from a previous relationship. Though Mia filed for divorce from Gordon in June 2023, a final decree is still pending.

Has RHOP’s Mia Thornton swapped Washington for Atlanta?

The address change comes more than two months after the RHOP Season 9 reunion. At that time, Gizelle Bryant revealed that Mia was living in Atlanta with her then-boyfriend Incognito (aka Inc) in Atlanta.

“Inc lives in Atlanta … Mia lives in Atlanta,” Gizelle said. “She does not live in D.C., Maryland, or Virginia.”

Playing innocent, Mia insisted she did, in fact, live in the DMV. “Why would you say that?” she asked incredulously. “I haven’t moved … I have a condo here.”

“You don’t,” Gizelle insisted. “Fine, if that’s the lie you want to tell today.”

Following being in the hot seat while the other women called her a liar and a “bad mother,” Mia walked out of the reunion and didn’t return.

Is Mia cozying up to the RHOP ladies hoping to join their show?

On the March 17 episode of Posted on the Corner, Mia told Inc on his podcast that she was interested in moving to Atlanta. Furthermore, she hoped to make the acquaintance of some of the RHOA ladies.

“I saw you put out a tweet … that says, ‘Hey, RHOA season premiere makes me want to move to Atlanta full-time,’” Inc said, asking her to clarify.

“Did you see the premiere?” Mia replied. “Oh my gosh, the girls are comin’ in hot … The way they were showing ATL, the way that the girls were showing up, they looked good. I just felt like the [RHOA cast] liked each other. They looked like they were real friends. I’m like, ‘I want to be part of a real friend crew’ … That’s my kind of crew — the elevation of it all.”

Additionally, Mia said she’s always “loved ” the Atlanta food scene and the general feel of the area. She thinks it’s just more “artsy’ than the DC area, calling the residents of the 404 “creatives.”

“Back home in D.C., it’s real political,” she concluded. “Keep me out of those circles. Arts and entertainment? That I can do.”

The Real Housewives of Potomac is now streaming on Peacock.
