J-Hope gave Lizzo a nickname when they met
Lizzo and BTS member J-Hope enjoyed a memorable reunion after she attended the rapper’s LA concert at the BMO Stadium last weekend. Despite having busy schedules, the two musicians managed to meet up, proving that they have grown to be the thickest of friends. Their friendship also peaked when J-Hope gave the singer a nickname when they met.
On Tuesday, Lizzo took to Instagram to share pictures with J-Hope from backstage at the BTS member’s concert in the BMO Stadium. In the caption, she said, “Call me Mona Lizzo (thanks for the nickname @uarmyhope). Proving that she’s a true fan, the star went on to add a purple heart — a symbol of mutual love, admiration, and respect between BTS and their fans, ARMY.
Dance challenges have become quite the norm between K-pop idols. J-Hope took it global after making one with Lizzo on his recent hit single “MONA LISA.” Addressing the “About Damn Time” singer by her new nickname, the BTS rapper thanked her for attending his concert. Lizzo also reciprocated his love by including him in her “Sill Bad” song challenge on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Lizzo has previously spoken about her newfound friendship with J-Hope. As per PEOPLE, in an interview with Audacy in 2022, the singer revealed that she had received the rapper’s number, and the two have been texting. She continued, “He’s a great texter, expressive. He does not leave you on read.”
With the BMO Stadium concert, J-Hope wrapped up the North American leg of his Hope on the Stage Tour. He will now begin the Asian leg of the tour, beginning in Manila on April 12. On the other hand, Lizzo is gearing up for her new album, “Love in Real Life.”
