“Do you like girls or boys?” Mickey asked JoJo. “Girls. My partner is non-binary,” she replied. “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore,” Mickey said. “I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and I’ll still be in a very happy relationship,” JoJo responded.
In the garden, Mickey said that when it came to evicting housemates, he would “vote the lesbian out real quick.” JoJo overhears the comments, and points out, “that’s homophobic, if that’s your reasoning.”
Mickey then says he needs “a fag,” which is British slang for a cigarette. But then, he gestures to JoJo, and says, “I’m not talking to you.”
Left upset, JoJo is comforted by Love Island star Chris Hughes. Mickey is then called to the Diary Room.
Big Brother reads out the exchange to Mickey. Producers ask if they understand how that language could be offensive.
“Yeah I think so. If I was saying it in a nasty kind of way or if I truly meant it,” he responds.
“Mickey, Big Brother thinks your language was offensive and unacceptable. As a result, Big Brother is giving you a formal warning. Further language or behavior of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house.”
Mickey says he understands, and apologizes. “I don’t have dishonorable intentions – I’m just talking smack, you know. I wasn’t taking it all so serious. I didn’t mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry.”

“Boy, did I get chewed out,” Mickey says upon his return to the house. “I didn’t say it out of meanness,” he insists. “JoJo was very upset earlier,” Chris tells him. Mickey then turns to JoJo and says, “You were? Sorry. Are we ok?”
“As a future [guide], using the word f** is not an acceptable word,” she tells him. The rest of the housemates then chat with Mickey to try and help him understand.
“I disagree with how it panned out, from how you handled it,” drag queen Danny Beard tells him. “But that also doesn’t mean I’m going to dig my feet in and ostracize you from the group. I’d love you to see it from another point of view, I’d love you to be part of the group, and I don’t want you to feel like you’re not.”
Mickey later pulls JoJo aside. “I want to apologize,” he says. “I’ve got a habit of having a short fuse. And I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it [sorry]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you.”
“I appreciate your apology,” JoJo tells him.
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9 p.m. BST on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
