The dust still hasn’t settled from that episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where Kenya Moore unleashed a series of poster boards exposing her new castmate Brit Eady. At this point, pretty much everyone in the Bravo universe has weighed in on the situation. Now, it’s Brit’s turn.
As the ladies prepare to move forward with Season 16, Brit appeared on a recent episode of New York Live to discuss the ongoing controversy. Apparently, Brit hasn’t seen or heard from Kenya since that day. She also revealed that she felt let down by the rest of the cast in the aftermath.
Brit Eady felt “the girls didn’t have my back” after Kenya Moore exposed her explicit pictures
During Brit’s interview, which was her first major appearance after RHOA Season 16, Episode 5 aired, she explained that Kenya hadn’t reached out to her at all. There wasn’t an off-camera apology, no text, nothing. But, that part shouldn’t be too surprising.
“I have not seen her. I’m actually blocked,” Brit admitted.
Of course, we’ve been hearing about this scandal since last summer when it happened. However, Brit said that having to relive it with the audience has been particularly difficult.
She explained, “Having to relive all of this. I mean, can you imagine having this convo with your mother?”
The most surprising part of Brit’s interview came when she was asked about the support she received from the rest of the cast. Although most of the Housewives left the spa when Kenya started revealing the explicit photos, Brit felt like the group wasn’t as supportive as they should have been the next day when they got together for brunch.
“I felt supported when the ladies left the salon, when she did what she did, but at brunch, I was shocked,” Brit explained.
“I understand you guys want to have a conversation and hear her side of the fence, but I felt that the girls didn’t have my back,” she continued. “And I’m like, you women are mothers. How would you feel if your daughter, your child was in this position?”
We’ll have to tune in to see exactly how the group reacted to the situation. Either way, it’s safe to say we haven’t heard the last of this story. Brit is going to be talking about this for a long, long time.
