Teresa Giudice has always been the life of the party when it comes to the Real Housewives of New Jersey. She was the beloved table-flipping diva who gave birth to her fourth daughter on camera. From day one, she knew what fans wanted to see, and she delivered on time every season. So now that she is back in the news for another legal issue, it seems only fitting that Bravo would pick cameras back up to film her trials and tribulations.
Teresa Giudice needs income for her tax struggles
Sadly, surprising no one, Teresa has again been bad with money. You would think at some point she’d hire a reputable accountant and tax attorney and have them on speed dial. As one of the highest-paid Real Housewives stars via In Touch, Teresa earns a pretty penny from participating on RHONJ. The outlet noted that for each season, she takes home around $1.1 million. Tre once shared via her podcast, Namaste B$tches that she was offered $25,000 for the first seasons and had to pay for the lavish parties herself. The mother of four has come a long way since buying bulk party platters at Costco, I’d say.
Tre is once again facing down the barrel of the IRS. Together, she and her husband, Luis Ruelas, owe a total of $3,037,255.2 in tax liens. Bravo fans will recall that she served 11 months in jail back in 2015 for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud. She and Joe Giudice also failed to file their tax returns at the time. With this new lien, legal experts worry that the government could start siphoning her Bravo paycheck if there is no payment plan in place.
The RHONJ cast still hasn’t been confirmed, leaving Teresa Giudice in limbo
Bravo is still keeping their cards close to their chest when it comes to the Real Housewives of New Jersey. No premiere date or cast has been released for Season 15. An insider recently spoke out to OK! Magazine, noting, “It is very telling that cameras are not up and filming Teresa and her latest financial crisis.” The source added, “In the past, production would have rushed to capture this on camera. There’s so much real, raw stuff going on, it would only make sense that Bravo would want to film this.” As fans and the source are noticing, “Bravo isn’t as interested in RHONJ or in Teresa’s story as they once were. It’s starting to make the cast question if the show will ever be returning to the screen, as they are losing quality storytelling they could be obtaining right now.”
Tre, like the rest of the Garden State women, is in limbo. “No one knows what’s going to happen, but the lack of taping certainly isn’t helping to quench people’s fears the show will return and or remain the same.” Even Andy Cohen has left viewers questioning the motives of the network. In February, the Bravo kingpin told fans, “Bravo has said nothing. No one has any information. There is no information. I cannot stress this enough. Y’all are not going to hear anything for a while.”
Could Teresa Giudice have another show on Bravo?
In the past, Teresa has been given her own spinoff. While she was in jail, Bravo focused on a special called, Teresa Checks In. She was also given a three-episode special for her Big Fat Jersey Wedding. So, chances are good she could be considered for another series. Her daughter, Gia Giudice, is starring in Next Gen NYC, where Tre will be making guest appearances, but she won’t be earning a big paycheck like she was on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
My only reservation about Teresa being given a spinoff is Luis. Fans of the Garden State have made it clear they do not enjoy watching him on their small screens. Luis has come across as a con artist, and while he might have tricked Tre, viewers are onto him. I imagine a possible spin-off would have to be without her husband, and I doubt Tre would commit to that, mainly due to her pride. Only time will tell if Tre has another show in her. Slowly, fans are becoming bored of her antics, and if Bravo isn’t willing to capture the latest drama, it might be curtains for the OG.
