Aimee Lou Wood called out “SNL” for how they portrayed her character, Chelsea, from HBO’s “The White Lotus” Season 3 in a “mean” way in their latest skit. Actor and comedian Sarah Sherman played the parodied version of Chelsea, sporting a set of big false teeth and spoke in an exaggerated accent, poking fun at Wood’s physical appearance.

In the Instagram Story, Wood wrote while referring to the spoof, “But whilst in honest mode – I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny xo.” The actor also added, “(Felt righteous, might delete later x).” Later, she shared another story expressing her disappointment with the comedy show.

Wood explained, “Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple of weeks ago.” The actor further wrote, “Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about.” She questioned, “But there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”

Since sharing her opinion on Instagram, Aimee Lou Wood has received support from her followers. The actor posted more stories showing how people agreed with her on how “unfunny” the “The White Lotus” skit was. She even expressed her gratitude towards the fans, writing, “Omg I’ve got THOUSANDS of messages in agreement with me since posting that. Thanks guys Glad I said something.” Later, the actor informed her followers that “SNL” had reached out to her to apologize for the spoof: “I’ve had apologies from SNL.”
