This week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta had some interesting moments, but one sticking point for fans was when Drew Sidora brought up her apparent familial connection with none other than Michael Jordan. Is RHOA star Drew Sidora related to Michael Jordan?
Drew Sidora claims she is Michael Jordan’s cousin, and that her maiden name is Jordan. The claims were made during RHOA Season 16 Episode 6, “Peace Interrupted.”
Drew and Michael being cousins isn’t outside the realm of possibility. Her maiden name being Jordan certainly makes sense, because Drew’s sister is called Allison Jordan. But that last name is a common one; it’s not exactly unique. Drew being related to Michael Jordan is something viewers are hearing about for the first time. As is usually the case, RHOA fans have questions. They’re not so quick to believe everything that comes out of a reality star’s mouth these days.
Some viewers just straight up don’t believe Drew. They’ve said that if NeNe Leakes was still on the RHOA cast, more questions would have been asked. That’s hard to deny. NeNe has never been one to hold her tongue. Others think that while it could be real, it was a way for Drew to flex. Michael Jordan really would be one of the biggest name drops on RHOA. Of course, he’s been mentioned before on Real Housewives of Miami, when Larsa Pippen was dating his son.
Drew has been caught up in lies during her time on RHOA. Nothing quite as brutal as what returning cast member Phaedra Parks suggested about Kandi Burruss, but lies all the same. Still, her personality is one that works well on screen. She brings the drama, and doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty. Even with the assistants of her fellow Real Housewives.
