After the scandal at the hair spa, the ladies of Atlanta tried to find a path back to normalcy. To make that happen. Kelli planned a Peace Brunch to bring the women together. Meanwhile, Brit had to navigate the emotional aftermath of the scandal. She’s humiliated and possibly losing her insurance license. Kenya might be gone from Season 16, but the ladies aren’t done talking about her. Keep on reading for the breakdown of what went down this week.

48 hours later…

Episode 6 picked up 48 hours after the poster board incident. Brit was sitting at her house with her family, flooding the room with tears over what happened. She said she hadn’t slept in 24 hours and felt shocked, She was also a little salty that she spent $250 on flowers that wound up in the trash.

“She planned this to ruin my reputation,” Brit claimed, before mentioning that she was at risk of losing her insurance license due to the incident.

When asked about the pictures that Kenya displayed at her event, Brit admitted that they were real. Years ago, she let her boyfriend film her in the middle of a sex act. Plus, she said she tried to work as a cam girl, but it didn’t work out. She tried to have all of the photos and videos scrubbed from the internet, but some of them still lingered.

Of course, Brit was devastated by all of this, and she said that her insurance license was at risk because of the public backlash. Her husband’s response to the crisis? He simply said, “Don’t worry about it.”

A debrief at Sterling Hall

As the nucleus of this group, it was up to Shamea to bring everyone together after the scandal at Kenya’s. She assembled everyone to Sterling Hall to debrief on the situation, and it felt like hitting the reset button on Season 16. Everyone condemned what happened and determined that Kenya had gone too far.

With Kenya out of the picture for the remainder of the season, the ladies are left with no choice but to bury this and move on. To help make this happen, Kelli decided to help bring a little fun back to the group by planning a garden brunch. She called it the Peace Brunch, and she wanted it to be a chance for them to shower Brit with love.

Unhappy Father’s Day

This episode took place during Father’s Day, and at Drew’s house, things couldn’t have been more awkward. The cameras picked up as Ralph emerged from the basement to kick off his court-appointed time with the kids. He seemed excited to see the upper level of the house, and more importantly, his children. However, that quickly went left.

Drew asked to speak with Ralph, and she pulled him into another room and started fussing at him about bills. She was like, “You were supposed to call an exterminator!”

Out of all of the things going on in their lives, Drew felt the need to bug Ralph about the Orkin man. It’s unbelievable, and I’m also dying to know what type of pests they have in that home. Either way, the conversation quickly turned into an argument when Drew told Ralph she had too much going on in her life to call the exterminator. It’s a mess.

Bickering at the Peace Brunch

As the reigning Waffle Queen, it made perfect sense for Kelli to host a brunch for Brit to give her a space to talk through her feelings. When the ladies arrived, we learned that they had all spoken to Kenya off-camera about what happened. Brit hated to hear that info, but brunch gave her a chance to share her perspective.

When talking about the situation, Brit claimed that she “lost” her insurance license because of everything going on. Angela made the mistake of asking for more details, and Brit chewed her head off.

“Read the motherf*cking room,” Brit told Angela.

Brit seemingly came to this brunch hoping for everyone to completely disavow Kenya for what she did. Apparently, removing her from the show wasn’t good enough. They also needed to erase her from their memories and never question Brit for the remainder of the season.

Although it’s clear that this group still has some room for growth, Shamea helped put things into perspective and challenged the ladies to move forward with positive intentions. They’ve already twirled down to hell one this season, and now it’s time to get back to the regular scheduled programming.

“If we could just try to focus more on the good, I think we could really move past all of this,” Shamea said.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta continues on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
