Olivia Wilde has seemingly thrown shade at the Blue Origin mission, a 10-minute recreational space expedition featuring an all-star, all-female crew — including singer Katy Perry — that took place on Monday, April 14. On the same day, the “Don’t Worry Darling” actor took to Instagram to post a Story featuring a carousel of memes shared by an account with the username @betches. Wilde’s caption on the Story indicated that the actor was seemingly criticizing the mission.
Olivia Wilde takes a dig at Blue Origin mission’s purpose on Instagram

It seems like Olivia Wilde has taken a dig at the 2025 star-studded Blue Origin mission. The meme by @betches, which the actor recently shared on her Instagram Stories, featured singer Katy Perry, one of the all-female crew members on the space journey. The meme showed the “Dark Horse” singer kissing the ground after she, along with the other crew members, safely landed back in Texas.
The text written on the meme read, “getting off a commercial flight in 2025.” It referred to all the recent flight mishaps and disasters. In the meantime, Olivia Wilde’s caption over the meme read, “Billion dollars bought some good memes I guess.” The actor seemingly questioned the purpose of this space flight by posting this Story on Instagram.
Apart from singer-songwriter Katy Perry, the other passengers on the Blue Origin mission included several notable celebrities. They were CBS host Gayle King, author and journalist Lauren Sanchez, and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe. The list also included film producer Kerianne Flynn and scientist Amanda Nguyen.
As reported by The U.S. Sun, a “source” claimed that Kim Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner, were also presented with the opportunity to be a part of the historic Blue Origin mission. However, both the celebrity mother and the daughter turned down the invitation to take a fascinating journey to space.
