It’s hard sometimes to keep rooting for The Valley’s Jax Taylor. Mainly because for years, he has kept doing dumb stuff with little to no repercussions. When working at SUR, he was a bad-boy bartender who basically said and did whatever he wanted. We loved the original Bravo villain but he’s become more sinister over the years. Cheating and lying became a hobby for Jax, and he seemed to take that trait into his marriage with Brittany Cartwright. The former Hooters girl endured a lot at the hands of Jax. Season 2 of The Valley will touch on an incident between the two, which had me questioning if Jax should have been fired.

With The Valley premiering on April 15, a sneak peek was leaked of the first seven minutes, and the allegations were brutal. Both Jax and Brittany are talking separately about an incident that occurred while at the family home. Their separation hasn’t been the easiest, and it seems anger got the best of Jax but at B’s expense. Jax is heard telling Jesse Lally that he looked at Brittany’s iPad and saw she was still messaging his former friend, Julian. The cameras then turn to Brittany, who told Michelle Lally she had sent a sexy video, which Jax also saw.
The next scene has Jax telling his friend that he became enraged. It was revealed via Brittany that Jax “flipped the coffee table, and it hit my knee. It was terrifying.” Brittany went on to say that Jax started screaming at her and calling her out for cheating. However, the two were separated and agreed to date other people. Jax is then heard telling Jesse this isn’t the man he wants to be. Sadly, their son, Cruz, was in the next room. Jax laments, “I don’t want him to see how I’m treating his mother.” Brittany revealed she is over her marriage as Jax shares, they “are so toxic and broken.”
Should Jax Taylor be allowed to film The Valley?
With everything going on at Bravo, it feels odd that cameras caught this outburst and that Jax would have been allowed to keep his paycheck. Fans have just watched gun accusations fly on Real Housewives of Atlanta and Kenya Moore fired for her revenge porn stunt. So why has Jax been able to keep his job after hurting his wife? Accident or not, surely the network doesn’t want to be seen as being in support of this type of behavior.
This isn’t the first time Jax has been in trouble. While on Vanderpump Rules, he often mocked cast members who had mental health struggles. He also gaslit Brittany into thinking he didn’t cheat with Faith Stowers. He was eventually fired after his part in accusing Faith of a crime she didn’t commit surfaced. Jax had also been accused by Billie Lee of refusing to film with her because she was trans. It also didn’t help that Brittany and Jax took forever to fire the alleged homophobic pastor who was supposed to marry them. So when it comes to Jax, when is enough bad behavior enough?
What to expect from The Valley Season 2
Season 2 of The Valley is going to be epic. Ignoring Jax’s behavioral issues, fans will get a chance to see him served with papers at his front door. Most of their divorce played out for the cameras, too. Michelle and Jesse will undoubtedly be the stars of the show again. The two can’t figure out co-parenting and are not getting along. Jesse is doing his best to rile Michelle up, and she is definitely going to lose her cool.
Janet Caperna is enjoying motherhood, but there are rumors that Jason Caperna hasn’t been faithful. Rest assured, her feud with Kristen Doute is still going strong. Kristen is concentrating on making a baby, and fans will get to see Luke Broderick propose to her while on a boat. Dare, I say The Valley Season 2 might be better than the first.
The Valley is available to stream on Peacock.
