Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules is filming with a brand-new cast, which means Lisa Vanderpump doesn’t have time to defend the old cast. She recently revealed that she’s done supporting James Kennedy, following a string of bad behavior. The revelation has Pump Rules fans wondering, “What took so long?”
James Kennedy has lost Lisa Vanderpump’s support
Last year, James wound up behind bars for an alleged domestic violence incident. Shortly after, he split up from his longtime girlfriend, Ally Lewber. Plus, he caught a ton of flak for smiling in photos with Andrew Tate, an influencer facing human trafficking allegations.
On Pump Rules, we watched James struggle with his sobriety. LVP always showed him support. Like most of her SURvers, she gives James chance after chance to clean up his act. However, she told Us Weekly that after his latest headlines, she can no longer defend him.
“I’ve had so much patience with him. I was so happy to see him with Ally and doing so well,” LVP shared.
“I know it’s a disease, but at some point, you’ve got to say, ‘I cannot support this anymore,’ with some people when they keep making the same mistakes,” she added.
According to Lisa, she and James haven’t spoken much following the domestic violence allegations. She did, however, speak to Ally at “great length” about what happened. That might explain why Ally revealed that Lisa tried to convince them to stay together.
Lisa explained, “James reached out, but I said, ‘Before I speak to you, I want to speak to Ally and understand it completely.’ I did talk to Ally at great length, and she reassured me that nothing happened physically — they were just in a drunken nonsense.”
Meanwhile, James has shared on social media that he’s remaining sober following his arrest. Either way, LVP doesn’t seem interested in following along on that journey. She’s got a new cast of “young little minxes” to focus on these days.
