Blake Lively could not have been more grateful after making it to TIME magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2025. The proud actor is celebrating her big moment and just shared her reaction as she added another star to her collection of achievements. Lively even penned a heartfelt note to thank the publication and civil rights attorney Sherrilyn Ifill for her TIME tribute.

Blake Lively penned a heartfelt gratitude note after earning a place on TIME Magazine’s The 100 Most Influential People of 2025 list. The 37-year-old actor took to her Instagram and shared a look at the prestigious feature. Along with that, Lively also expressed her gratitude in the note. She wrote, “It’s an honor to be acknowledged on the @time 100 list for 2025.” She continued to express how much it meant that Sherrilyn Ifill, a civil rights attorney, wrote the TIME feature.
Lively penned, “To be written about by the great @sherrilynifill is not something I take lightly.” She added, “Her work has shaped our nation.” The “A Simple Favor” star also shared that Ifill’s various roles as a “human, woman, mother, leader, fighter, healer, empath, risk taker and dream maker” have “shaped” her “heart” and her “stamina to never stop believing in a future that’s better and safer for everyone.”
Furthermore, Lively thanked TIME Magazine and Ifill for the recognition. She wrote heartfeltly, “…for one of the most surreal and meaningful moments of my life in this honor.” Before ending the note, the “Gossip Girl” actor sweetly gushed over the proud moment. Lively wrote, “My 10 year old self is pretty blown away right now.”
Meanwhile, Ifill gave an insight into Lively’s work beyond Hollywood in her TIME statement. The former president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund praised “The Shallows” actor for being a “serious person” and a “risk taker.” Ifill further noted that Lively is “committed to moving this country forward.” She added, “For her children. And for mine.”
