Michelle Obama’s Brother Had Doubts About Barack Obama

In a recent episode of Robinson and Michelle Obama’s IMO podcast, the former recalled how he was skeptical about Barack Obama.

Michelle Obama’s brother reveals having doubts about Barack when she first started dating

Michelle Obama and her brother Craig Robinson had an interesting conversation with Trace Ellis Ross in the latest episode of the IMO podcast. As the trio talked about relationships, Robinson recalled his sister and her husband’s dating phase, which he was skeptical of.

Robinson shared that he felt Michelle and Barack Obama’s relationship would last just a month, like most of her relationships. However, the former first lady had a fitting yet playful response that she “had many a long-term boyfriend”. Robinson replied that he would not call them boyfriends.

Further, the 62-year-old recalled their mother Miriam Robinson’s first meeting with Barack Obama at their house. Robinson stated, “I remember mom’s first thing was, ‘Oh, at least he’s tall!. That was her first thing she said, because Mich was usually posting up her other boyfriends.” However, Craig Robinson was still not satisfied and told himself that it is too “bad it’s not going to last.”

Nevertheless, Michelle tied the knot with Barack Obama in 1992. Recently, divorce rumors about the couple have surged. This was due to the former first lady not accompanying her husband at important events like former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration.

However, Michelle Obama shut down the divorce rumors at Sophia Bush’s Work in Progress podcast. She stated, “This year, people couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself. They had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.” She cleared that her choice to stay away from the public limelight was as a “grown woman just making a set of decisions.”
