The trend “Taylor Swift TIME 100” surges as the multiple Grammy Award-winning global icon did not make it to the highly anticipated 2025 “Most Influential People” list. The singer’s absence, after the completion of her groundbreaking “The Eras Tour” last year, has stunned many fans all the world. The artists that landed in this year’s TIME “The 100 Most Influential People of 2025” list include Ed Sheeran, Nicole Scherzinger and BLACKPINK member Rosé, among others.
Taylor Swift is not on TIME 100’s major list this year
Taylor Swift missed out on her appearance on TIME’s “The 100 Most Influential People of 2025” list. It has indeed surprised fans as the singer-songwriter had an incredible year in 2024 with her era-defining “The Eras Tour.”
Apart from Nicole Scherzinger, Ed Sheeran and BLACKPINK’s Rosé, several other people from the entertainment industry made it to the much-awaited Times list. It includes Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Bell, Danielle Deadwyler, Daniel Dae Kim, Hozier, Demi Moore, Adrien Brody and more. Another person who is present on the list is Swift’s friend and the “It Ends with Us” actor Blake Lively.
Although Taylor Swift did not land on this year’s TIME 100 list, she made an appearance on the same list back in 2019. Singer Shawn Mendes showed his admiration for the global idol by writing a tribute to her for the 2019 issue of the magazine’s TIME 100 Most Influential People list. The “Treat You Better” singer wrote, “I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan for as long as I can remember.” He continued, “But it wasn’t until I met and got to know her that I understood how wonderful a person she truly is.”
Shawn Mendes concluded the tribute by writing, “Taylor makes anyone older feel young again and anyone young feel they can do anything.” The artist added, “It’s so rare and so special. If there is one thing I want to achieve in my career and life, it’s that.” Besides the most influential list, Taylor Swift was previously named TIME’s “Person of the Year” for 2023 and 2017.
