The Below Deck franchise has been associated with several legal matters, most of which related to its own cast members. Recently, though, a former charter guest has made headlines for a case that has the government involved.
Specifically, the home of Anthony Drewitt-Barlow, who once appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht was raided. There isn’t a lot of information related to the situation, but here is everything that has been publicly revealed so far.
Feds raided former Below Deck guest Anthony Drewitt-Barlow’s home
It was reported that his home in Tampa, Florida, was recently raided by Homeland Security. Whilst there is no official cause for the search, it’s been suggested that it may relate to sex trafficking.
“Anyone with knowledge of a potential victim of sex trafficking, or have been a witness to sex trafficking, in this case, should call the tip line at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE,” a source told TMZ.
The source also claimed that the raid was part of an active investigation. Because of this, there aren’t many known details, including whether or not Anthony is specifically involved in this alleged case. He has not spoken out publicly since the raid.
Back in 2021, Anthony appeared as a charter guest on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2. He went on vacation with his ex-husband, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, their children, and Barrie’s boyfriend, Scott Hutchinson. Shockingly, Scott also happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Tony and Barrie’s daughter Saffron Drewitt Barlow, who came along on the trip too.
The family of nine was considered one of the most high-maintenance groups in the history of Sailing Yacht. Mainly, the criticism came from Barrie’s consistent conflicts with Chef Natasha De Bourg.
Their charter ended in Barrie’s surprise proposal to Scott, which he accepted. The couple’s special day also happens to be Tony’s birthday.
