Mia Thornton Leaving RHOP After Atlanta Move

This shouldn’t be too much of a shocker, but Mia Thornton has confirmed her departure from The Real Housewives of Potomac. When she left the Season 9 reunion early and hinted at a move to Atlanta, we knew it was only a matter of time before this announcement dropped. Now, it’s official. Mia’s flute is no more.

Mia shared the news of her RHOP exit on Instagram with a photoshoot showing her holding a newspaper. The headline on the paper read, “Mia Thornton moves to Atlanta.” The real tea came in the caption underneath the picture.

“With every new season comes a new beginning and I have some news to share. My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season,” Mia wrote in the caption.

Mia went on to express her gratitude to NBC and Bravo for her four-season run on RHOP. Throughout her time on the show, she candidly shared information about her complicated family history. She unpacked trauma with her bestie Jacqueline Blake and navigated a divorce from Gordon Thornton. Her relationship with the truth may have been questionable at times, but you can’t say Mia ever had a shortage of storylines.

On Instagram, Mia teased that there are “exciting opportunities” in store for her next chapter. Some fans think that means she’s going to make the jump to Real Housewives of Atlanta. We’re not sure about that, but regardless of what Mia does next, we’ll be watching and we wish her the best.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
