Being a reality TV star has its perks. Because of his Vanderpump Rules fame, Tom Schwartz has been able to make his mark as a restaurateur. He teamed up with his former VPR co-star and close friend Tom Sandoval on multiple bars in California. Whether those businesses were successful, though, is debatable.
But, despite their short-lived Schwartz & Sandy’s bar that closed in 2024, and a big renovation project over at TomTom that is seen as a major downgrade, Schwartz is not leaving the world of bar management. In fact, he’s partnering up with The Valley star Jax Taylor to take his newest business to the next level.
Tom Schwartz will help “promote once in a while” at Jax Taylor’s bar
Schwartz was a recent guest on the In the Mind of Jax Taylor podcast. It was during this segment that Tom and Jax discussed Studio City, the bar Jax opened up back in October 2023.
Once supported by his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, this partnership fell apart when they broke up months later. Now, Jax is looking for someone to help keep the bar afloat, and Schwartz is up for the job.
“It’s hard on your sleeping habits if you’re running, managing a bar. And that’s why, if you see me, I’m helping promote once in a while here and there. I’ll pop in and help you out. I know you need to step away more often,” Schwartz said in the April 17 episode.
Jax is excited to have Tom onboard and even wants him to be involved in the place’s overall design in an upcoming renovation plan.
“I think you have a lot of really good taste. And I want to incorporate that into the new bar.”
