Bachelor in Paradise is getting a whole new look for Season 10. On April 22, ABC announced the show will take place in Costa Rica this summer, rather than Mexico.
For the first nine seasons, BIP filmed in Sayulita, Mexico. The resort was beautiful, but the cast frequently complained about the lack of air conditioning. And then there were the crabs. Paradise always seemed to film during crab mating season, and the crabs were literally everywhere. Harmless, but ick.
Host Jesse Palmer is returning for the new season, and this time he has a sidekick, Season 15 Bachelorette star Hannah Brown. ABC’s press release promises, “Unforgettable moments … served with a twist … Wells Adams return[s] as bartender, joined by Hannah Brown bringing the bubbly to rose ceremonies in the all-new Champagne Lounge.”

After taking 2024 off, ABC confirmed in March that BIP would return. Unlike previous seasons, this time Paradise will host alums from both the Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises … and their grandparents. Just kidding. Actually, ABC will mix in a few of the alums from the Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette franchises.
“For the first time ever, Golden men and women will be hitting the beaches of Paradise alongside all of your Bachelor and Bachelorette favorites of seasons past,” Jesse announced last month. No more running around naked in Paradise, kids. Nana and Pop Pop are watching.
At this time, only five names have been disclosed from the cast: Bachelorette Season 21’s Jonathan Johnson and Hakeem Moulton, Bachelor Season 29’s Zoe McGrady, and Golden’s Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston.
“I cannot wait,” Leslie said on Bachelor Grant Ellis’ After the Final Rose. “Beaches are my thing. And I’m so excited to be with my old friends, make new friends, and just maybe find love.”
Though not yet announced as part of the cast, Bachelor alum Alexe Godin is still hoping for an invite to the beach. “Jonathon and I would make a cute couple,” she said. “I have heard really good feedback from people that he is a really good guy, so who knows? I keep saying, him and Tanner [Courtad] [are] cute, I think we can all agree.”
Bachelor in Paradise premieres sometime in the Summer of 2025 on ABC.
