Welcome to the recap for Summer House Season 9, Episode 11. Last week, Paige decided to put a pause on any big decisions regarding her relationship with Craig. And she put a pause on Imrul bringing over a different lady every night. A girl’s gotta get her beauty rest after all. Meanwhile, Jesse tried to get a pass on flirting with Ciara when he accused Lexi of doing the same thing with West. The only problem … Lexi said that never happened. Jesse also shocked Ciara when he told her to stop flirting with him. How would Ciara handle this development? Here’s exactly what went down in Summer House Season 9, Episode 11: “Blurred Tan Lines.”
What happened in Summer House Season 9, Episode 11?
The bedbugs hosted their first annual Snoozefest, where you can party and nap at the same time. Perfect for a preggers Lindsay. It was also where Carl decided it might be time to tell Ciara she was the woman of his dreams. However, Snoozefest was a nightmare for Lexi and Jesse. Lexi confronted him when she heard from the group that he had been talking about her behind her back. Jesse was shook and decided to take the official boyfriend-girlfriend decision off the table. Was their relationship over before it even began?
Ciara put Jesse in a timeout
Things were starting to look up between West and Ciara. He and Jesse high-fived that Ciara actually said “good-bye” to him last week. But they didn’t know that Ciara also said “buh-bye” to her friendship with Jesse after he called her out for flirting with him.
Amanda was ready to celebrate. She had announced her swim line on social media and never predicted that it would happen for her. Kyle was also ready to celebrate with some “Schwartz energy.” None other than Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Schwartz joined the crew for the weekend. Ciara happily asked, “What the f*ck are you doing here?”
However, Jesse did not get as warm a greeting. Unbelievably, he went in for a kiss, but Ciara pulled out a fist bump instead. She said, “You told me not to touch you. Make it make sense. I’m gonna swerve you too. He’s worried about me touching him; he needs to be worried about where he’s putting that toe.”
The party theme for the weekend was the first annual Snoozefest. The girls were going to stay in to do crafts for the event, while the boys went out for the night. Imrul wisely decided to do an away game instead. This led to Jesse reenacting for Tom the toegate scenario. Apparently, it was all a joke, but he left out the fact that the joke lasted 37 minutes.
Amanda asked Lexi if Jesse was her boyfriend yet. Lexi dished not quite yet. Gabby stated she learned on TikTok that being exclusive is a new step before committing to boyfriend and girlfriend. Gen Z making it complicated. But Lexi shared that Jessie was already telling her she was his girlfriend. Just in private, like when he told her he loved her. Facepalm.
Amanda stirred the pot with Lexi and Jesse
The boys decided to discuss their favorite niche porn category over dinner. Because … boys. Carl blew everyone’s mind when he announced he was a fan of tan lines. Shockingly, Jesse did not mention anything about feet.
Meanwhile, Amanda, Lindsay, and Ciara caught up on Lexi and Jesse. Lindsay shared, “He keeps secretly telling her, ‘I consider you my girlfriend.’” Amanda chimed in that Jesse had claimed Lexi was jealous and was stalking him on Insta, but when she talked with Lexi, she got another side. She had a conundrum. Side with Jesse, or tell Lexi what Jesse said about her?
The next morning, Ciara put the boys to work on building the bed outside. When Jesse tried to put in his two cents, she cut him off. She said, “I already know you’re not going to do anything, Jesse, so you can chill.” Ciara still brought that Traitors energy.
Amanda decided girl code came first and told Lexi about Jesse’s yellow flags. She informed Lexi that Jesse told them he’s not allowed to comment on girls’ photos and he had to unfollow girls online. Lexi shut that down. She said, “With the following girls thing, it was after toegate. I get so many DMs about red flags that I should be aware of with Jesse. Like he started following all these girls literally since you and I started talking. That’s weird.”
Lexi further clarified that Jesse can hype up his friend’s photos, but she didn’t want him saying comments like “hottest bitch.” Seems reasonable. She added that Jesse was the one calling her nonstop. Lexi said, “Like, how about f*ck yellow flags. I have huge red flags for you.” Grabs popcorn.
Kyle had babies on the brain
All the baby talk around Lindsay had Kyle’s wheels turning. He showed Tom the kit he had to ensure his sperm was up to par. Kyle joked, “Am I curious about fertility? I’m 42. I’ve probably stood a little too close to the microwave. I don’t know what kind of impact that has.” Tom wondered if they had set a timeline. Kyle stated it’s not a matter of if but when. But was Amanda on the same page?
Lexi decided to give Jesse the cold shoulder, but wouldn’t share why. So, West did some digging for his bro and asked Amanda and Paige what was up. Amanda admitted she stirred the pot when she told Lexi what Jesse had said about her. And after talking with Lexi, it seemed that Jesse was the jealous one. Amanda said, “It’s to the point where she’s saying that he’s breathing down her neck like all the time.”
West even admitted he’d witnessed Jesse’s jealousy firsthand. He said Jesse FaceTimed her in the car and then said he’d call her, even though he was going to see her in an hour. Amanda concluded, “He’s playing it cool like she’s jealous … we keep asking about the boyfriend and girlfriend thing, and it’s kind of her that’s hesitant on it, not him.”
After that chat, Snoozefest was on! The costumes were fun, with West’s 1950s style PJs, Gabby as a cute sheep, and Paige, Amanda, and Ciara literally wearing comforters. Of course Jesse wore a Hugh Hefner-style robe, still freshly wrinkled from its Amazon package.
Lindsay joked, “It’s a great themed party for me to be at. Because I can sit down or take a nap, and it won’t be questionable.” But what was questionable was Jesse’s behavior behind Lexi’s back.
Lexi stood her ground with Jesse
The party was in full swing as Carl considered telling Ciara he liked her. But he wasn’t ready just yet. Then things got crazy between Lexi and Jesse. She told him, “It feels like you are lowkey talking sh*t behind my back.” No, he was highkey talking sh*t. Lexi added, “The girls are telling me that you have yellow flags about me …. when you literally have a fat-ass red flag of somebody sucking your toe.”
She noted he’s giving everyone the ick because he’s acting a certain way when she’s not around, yet he’s very serious with her. Lexi surmised, “I feel like I have emotional whiplash.” Jesse felt their relationship was fragile, so Lexi countered they could slow it down. She said, “I don’t want to be in a relationship with someone who I can’t trust.”
Then came some more emotional whiplash. Jesse said, “I just felt that we have a great, genuine connection. And I thought we were going to leave this weekend being like, ‘Oh we’re boyfriend girlfriend.’” Lexi stated she was not begging for a relationship. Now this was the Lexi we’ve been waiting for!
Jesse went to lament to West. He asked, “I’m just dumbfounded. Am I the biggest idiot ever?” Don’t answer that. Jesse complained, “They’re just trying to stir shit up. And that makes me feel like they’re not my actual friends.”
Lexi then dished what happened to the girls. Paige warned, “If someone says to you that they had to change so much for you, you should walk away.” Would Lexi take Paige’s advice?
