The Valley’s OG estranged couple, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, aren’t just tied together by their son, Cruz. A few months before breaking up in 2024, the former couple opened up Jax’s Studio City in Los Angeles. One of the star menu items at the bar is Mamaw’s Beer Cheese, an ode to Brittany’s grandmother, who sells her own special beer cheese back in Kentucky.
Recently, customers noticed that the cheese had been removed from the menu via a black marker. Rumors instantly swirled online that Jax removed the item simply out of spite over their tumultuous divorce. However, Brittany just laid that theory to rest.
Brittany Cartwright gives “context” to Jax Taylor removing Mamaw’s Beer Cheese from bar menu
In a recent episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits, Brittany addressed the new menu change.
“I just want to give a little context to that. It’s because I asked them to take it off the menu. I own ‘Mamaw’s Beer Cheese,’ I have it trademarked, that I pay for, and everything else,” she explained in the April 19 episode.
The reality TV star went on to defend her action, adding that the product wasn’t making her any money.
“I put in a lot of money toward that place, and I never got paid back for it, and I’ve never seen a dollar from ‘Mamaw’s Beer Cheese’ or anything, so I was like, ‘I’m done.’ I’m not trying to be petty or rude, but I just feel like it’s realistic, like, why would it be there?”
She did briefly mention that she’d bring the cheese item back in another way. But, because her plans to open her own bar have reached an end, it’s unclear what the future of the beloved dish will hold.
The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
