Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier had a rocky relationship during Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5. In fact, Sandy ended up firing Hannah for having a CBD vape pen and some undisclosed anxiety medication.
Hannah actually had a prescription for the medication, but she never informed Sandy that she had the drugs on board. It was probably one of Below Deck’s most controversial terminations, with fans still taking sides years later. Even following the birth of Hannah’s child, when Sandy wanted to send a baby gift, Hannah ignored her.
But at last, Sandy and Hannah have made their peace with each other. On a visit to Australia last year, Sandy visited the former stew’s home and met her family. They buried the hatchet so deep that they’re actually willing to work together again. Are pigs flying somewhere?
Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy and Hannah Ferrier have ended their feud

In an Us Weekly interview, Sandy and Hannah made a joint announcement about their new gig with City Cruises Live. During an evening on the water, including dinner, drinks and stunning city views, the pair will share their experiences with fans.
In San Diego, New York City, and Chicago, the two will appear together. In Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, Captain Sandy will sail solo for a more personal chat. Fans will submit questions for Sandy and Hannah, while a moderator guides the conversation.
“It’s just a perfect alignment,” Sandy said. “I always say that if a door of opportunity opens, walk through … You can always walk back out [again] … I’m really excited.”
For her part, Hannah was ready to forgive Sandy and move on with her life. “I’m in such a calmer and better place in my life now,” she explained.
“My daughter has grounded me a lot … I’m just in a very different place than I was 10 years ago when I started Below Deck. So when Sandy reached out … and said, ‘Would you be interested in doing this with me?’ I was like, ‘Absolutely.’”
“There’s so much turmoil in the world,” Hannah continued. “But just sitting down with Sandy for a few hours … was so cathartic and healing.” Ironically, the offer from City Cruise Live came just a few months later.
“Hannah’s there for three dates, but I want her there for all of them,” Sandy interjected. “It’s going to be epic and … fun. I think there’ll be tears, laughter, and there’ll be a wonderful experience.”
Below Deck Mediterranean is currently streaming on Peacock and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
