The fact that the cast of Jersey Shore has managed to stay semi-relevant for the last 15 years is nothing short of a miracle. They’re about to drop Season 8 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, and you know they make some serious coins from that show. However, Vinny Guadagnino has leveraged his reality TV fame to cash in on a different endeavor — stripping.
Vinny has been doing guest stints with Chippendales in Las Vegas for the last few years. It’s a job that probably doesn’t make his mother proud, but during a recent interview on The Pre-Game Podcast with Kayla Nicole, he said it’s some of the easiest money he’s ever made in his life. And he’s made a lot of it.
Vinny Guadagnino went from Jersey Shore to Chippendales
Vinny started doing performances with Chippendales back in 2019. They keep inviting him back for guest appearances. According to him, he’s raked in over $1 million from the performances.
“It’s great. I always tell people it’s not like a strip club. I’ve made over a million dollars doing it,” Vinny explained. “Just because I’ve done so many, they’re called residencies, where you stay there. And it’s like the easiest money I’ve ever made. Just go there, live in Vegas, rip your shirt off.”
That sounds easy enough, but it won’t last forever. With that in mind, Vinny is focusing on pivoting to a comedy career. He has spent time studying sketch comedy and has been picking up stand-up gigs around New York City. It doesn’t quite pay the same as Chippendales. Still, he’s hopeful that he can eventually make a living out of it.
“I get up every night in front of, like, whether it’s three people to 300 people. Most of the time it’s free, but I’m just harnessing the craft,” Vinny noted.
“It takes, like, years and years to — I have to get better quick, but I still have to take years to do it. But then the money comes from when you’re good, and then you go on the road, and then you start making money,” he continued.
Of course, his most consistent job is at MTV on Jersey Shore, where most of the crew have traded in fist-pumping for parenthood. The Family Vacation spinoff has outlasted the original run of Jersey Shore, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon.
