Karen Huger, the Grande Dame of The Real Housewives of Potomac, is currently sitting in prison. In December 2024, Karen was found guilty of driving under the influence and several other charges. She received a sentence of two years in prison, with one year suspended. So, while Karen is serving her one-year term, her RHOP co-star Ashley Darby weighed in on her co-star’s new living situation.
RHOP’s Ashley Darby thinks Karen Huger will leave prison as “the baddest b*tch”
Ashley, who is starring in Love Hotel with her RHOP co-star Gizelle Bryant, has been concerned about Karen’s well-being in prison. So, she has been reaching out via a mutual friend. “Honestly, I don’t think she’s in the place to talk about being with any of us socially,” Ashley told PEOPLE. “I mean, Karen is very focused on getting better and healing herself, and that’s what’s been communicated through our mutual friend.”
When Karen missed the Season 9 RHOP reunion to check into rehab, Ashley brought a framed photo of her. “She’s really steadfast in that journey, and we’ve just given her support. And yes, I may throw jabs and it may be shady occasionally,” Ashley explained, “but honestly, I really want Karen to be better and to get better for herself and her children.”
Ashley added, “She’s just going to be the baddest b*tch ever when she comes out of there. So I’m looking forward to that day.” Meanwhile, Gizelle is also keeping tabs on Karen while she is serving her prison term.
Gizelle said, “I’ve given messages. She’s given messages back through other people. I hear that they love her in that prison, which doesn’t shock me at all.” Gizelle added, “Karen’s going to take over any situation she is in and do it with style and grace.”
As for Karen’s future on Potomac? Only time will tell.
