Erika Jayne just can’t outrun the legal issues that have been chasing her down since 2020. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been dealing with lawsuits and lawyers for some time now. And even though she had a decent Season 14, she still isn’t out of the woods yet. Bravo follower and lawyer Ronald Richards isn’t letting up on shining the spotlight on the Pretty Mess singer and recently shared that he thinks she has more money issues. Here’s what we know.
Ronald Richards breaks down RHOBH star Erika Jayne’s finances
To the mere mortal eye, it would look like Erika has bounced back and landed on her feet. But according to Ronald, that might not be the case for the RHOBH star. The lawyer took to Twitter to offer up some signs that Erika might be running low on funds. Ronald wrote, “Erika Girardi appears objectively to be having money problems. Finally, it looks like the legal fee gravy train is running dry.” Ronald had a lot to say in his lengthy statement, even though he is not working on the cases against Erika.
Ronald continued, “Erika Girardi did not file a reply brief for her appeal of the denial of her motion to dismiss the Christopher Psaila complaint in the 9th Circuit. This never happens. Second, as reported earlier, she is facing an imminent default in Florida. An extension was granted for her reply brief, as you see below, but then Evan Borges never filed one. We reached out to her attorney to ask him if there was anything going on other than the obvious reason, he is not being paid … The response was crickets.”
Erika Jayne has multiple lawsuits
The lawyer added, “The multiple legal actions and the price tag have now caught up with her. The lawsuit benefactor well looks like it is becoming dry.” Ronald then shared that Erika might not be eligible for more delays. “To facilitate the timely submission of cases for decision, no further motions for extensions of time to file the reply brief will be granted absent extraordinary and compelling circumstances. If the reply brief is not filed by February 18, 2025, the case may be submitted on the briefs already on file.”
There are multiple lawsuits against Erika at the moment. She will be facing off against Thomas Girardi‘s bankruptcy trustee. Elissa Miller filed a $24 million lawsuit against Erika in September 2022. The trustee claims Erika knew that “Girardi Keese was secretly paying her expenses between 2007 and 2020.” Christopher and his partner, Marco Morante, are suing Erika for $18 million after she accused him of making $800,000 in fraudulent credit card charges. She might forfeit over $300,000 due to her lawyer failing to show up to a necessary court hearing, too. Erika has denied any wrongdoing.
Is Erika Jayne leaving RHOBH or being demoted?
Erika is relying heavily on her Bravo paycheck. But rumors have been swirling that she might have been demoted. A flyer for an upcoming performance in the UK read, “Erika Jayne … The iconic musician, TV star and former Real Housewife heads to Camden,” leaving some fans worried for her cash flow. A recent blind item also hinted that Erika had been handed a friend of contract rather than a full-time diamond position. The source added, “This West Coast housewife who recently wished her former co-star was ‘a bit more interesting’ found herself receiving a friend-of contract for the new season.” Erika has yet to confirm or deny whether she will return to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Fans have grown a bit tired of Erika’s mean-girl attitude, especially when she turns on Sutton Stracke. It could be that her time is just up with the franchise as they integrate some new faces. The singer’s storyline lacked, as no viewers really cared about her faux HGTV home makeover moment. If Erika were to be let go, I imagine Ronald might be right in noting she would be in financial trouble. Let’s hope Erika has everything in order before the worst happens.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
