The woman in the alleged cheating scandal involving Jon Gesslin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 is speaking out, denying all cheating allegations.
Deanna Hummel, 23, tells PEOPLE, “We’re just friends. It’s absurd that anyone would think otherwise.” Deanna claims she met Jon through a mutual friend months ago, and the two have been hanging out – as part of a group of friends, not as couple. She goes on to claim the social outings have included visits to each other’s houses and nights out on the town, but always with others there, and it’s always all innocent.
She also want on to say the above photo of her leaving a club with Jon was being misinterpreted, “He just got this new car and I wanted to drive it. I’m into cars,” she says. “We all have guy and girl friends. Because of who he is, it gets portrayed the wrong way, and it’s unfair to him and his family.”
Jon released a statement last week after the photo was released saying he show “poor judgement.” Gee you don’t say Jon. It seems rather interesting though that Jon’s wife, Kate has yet to release any sort of statement since this scandal broke out.
