MTV has decided to pull the plug on BUCKWILD following the tragic death of Shain Gandee. Needless to say, the show's cast and producer J.P. Williams are not happy.
According to J.P., on Friday, MTV told those involved with production that BUCKWILD will continue as planned. Then, on Tuesday, MTV canceled the series. No explanation was given.
"This is the network that has shows about teen pregnancy. They'll stick by a show that allows you to abandon a child, but a kid dies by accident doing what he does for a living [mudding] and they cancel the show,” J.P. said. “There's something that smells of s–t here on every level."

The female BUCKWILD cast members shared their disappointment with Twitterverse. And, thanks to the producer's hostility towards MTV's teen pregnancy shows, Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans managed to add some drama to the situation.
Shae Bradley tweeted, "The show has been canceled and my heart is in a million pieces. Shain would want us to carry on. His parents want this. So do we all."
"The whole cast wants to continue filming and raise ten kinds of hell in Shain's honor. Give you all the best second season ever," Shae continued. "And to all of you who say we're doing this for the money, you're ignorant. It's about a group of best friends that just lost one. We want to keep our friends memory alive and live like Gandee."
Cara Parrish tweeted, "Thinking of filming for @MTV without Shain hurts me clear through my soul but the thought of turning our backs on his dreams is worse. I think MTV should show reality."
Ashley Whitt tweeted, "Yea people #buckwild is actually canceled & Shain would be f–king pissed. Tweet @MTV & tell them to keep it going." Katie Saria agreed that Shain wouldn't be happy, adding, "Knowing from personal experience, the last month of Shain's life was wild and amazing. You're gonna wanna see it."
J.P. boldly promised the cast – some of whom he also manages – that he will continue to film the show and maybe even a movie on his own dime.
