As we say in the South, bless his tiny, delusional, in need of anger management and a reality check, sweet heart. Kanye West is at it again, Yeez Louise y'all won't believe the things that are coming out of the tiny rapper's mouth of late. First he's the greatest. Second, while he thanks Michael Jackson for paving the way for his most highest celebritydom, Kanye has far surpassed the King of Pop. Oh, and he's still roughing up paparazzi (but more on that in a bit. The fun stuff first, right?).
Us Weekly has the skinny on what Kim Kardashian's love really thinks about himself. On Monday, 'Ye gave an hour long interview with Zane Lowe with BBC Radio where he revealed, among other things, that he is "the number one rock star on the planet." Yup, seems about right. Kanye surprises no one by asserting that his life's mission was to push the limits of our interpretations of music, fashion, art, and culture. I knew it all along. Kanye is not just a rapper. He's an icon. Again, bless it.
While he admits that "there would be no Kanye West if it wasn't for Michael Jackson," Kanye is also quick to remind us that he's surpassed any sort of fame that Michael Jackson knew.

Kanye states, "I've got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity…and I've been at it for 10 years. I look around and I say, 'Wait a minute. There's no one around here in that looks like me. And if they are, they're quiet as f–k.' So that means, wait a second — now we're seriously like, in a civil rights movement."
Hmmm…I'm not quite sure Kanye's rise to stardom was the civil rights movement for which the great MLK was championing. Of course, nothing can hold back Kanye as he continues his meteoric rise to places not even astronauts have seen.
Not wanting to be pigeon holed, Kanye feels stifled. He whines explains, "I shouldn't be limited to only one place of creativity. You guys don't understand — I did the Air Yeezys and they eBay'd for $90,000…but I didn't get a call from Nike the next day." Sadly, Yeezy realizes that people just don't understand his creative genius. I'm looking at you, Nike.
Drawing a comparison to his biffle Jay Z (I wish I could be fly on the wall in a convo between those two), Kanye laments, "Jay Z is more realized than me. More of his dreams and aspirations have come true. You don't realize — I am so frustrated. Like, I've got so much I want to give…And I've got a million people telling me why I can't do it." Aww, poor baby.
Thankfully for us, Kanye refuses to give up. He says, "I'm not trying to regurgitate myself. I showed people that I understand how to make perfect. You know, [My Twisted] Dark Fantasy could be considered to be perfect. I know how to make perfect, but that's not what I'm here to do. I'm here to crack the pavement and make new grounds sonically…and culturally."
Kanye continues, "We culture. Rap is the new rock 'n' roll. We the rock stars…We the new rock stars and I'm the biggest of all of them. I'm the No. 1 rock star on the planet."
Of course, even a perfect, multi-talented genius who is shaping our world for centuries to come needs some downtime. What is that for 'Ye? The "Black Skinhead" rapper shares, "Yeah, it's like family time. That's what Kim gave me. She gave me everything, she gave me family, she gave me a support system. She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking me for money, which is really hard for me to find."
Lessons I have learned? Kanye is, as Mary Poppins would say, perfect in every way, and Kim? Well, I ain't sayin' she's a gold digger, because, well, clearly she's not. If he could bottle his ego, I'm not going to lie…I'd buy it.
Speaking of Kim, are any of you watching the hilarious gem that is The Mindy Project? What did you think of this guy's cameo last night?
