Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Joyce Giraud Calls Out Brandi Glanville And Yolanda Foster’s Bad Behavior In Palm Springs!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - Season 4

Poor Jacqueline, er, I mean Joyce Giraud certainly learned what it means to plan a girls' trip in the land of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Either someone ends up drunk in a suitcase or someone ends up wasted at the dinner table, but regardless, intoxication only fuels the drama and bad behavior with this group. Joyce especially took issue with Brandi Glanville's behavior (Who didn't? That comment about Joyce's inability to swim crossed so many lines, I'd be worried if she wasn't offended!).  She didn't take too kindly to be shushed by Yolanda Foster either. At least Kyle Richards had her back. Good ol' Splits!

In her Bravo blog, Joyce breaks down the entire episode, but she doesn't shy away from calling out Brandi and YoFo. I hate to break it to her, but all the hair flipping and taking the high road isn't going to make it to far with this crowd. Kyle has already cornered the market on the hair, and none of these ladies seem to know the meaning of being the bigger person…unless by "big", you mean "fat." In that case, Joyce may be alright considering she's already got the name of a big ol' fat lady.

Not surprisingly, Joyce took serious offense to Brandi's stereotype that black people can't swim. Of the pressure she faced from the ladies to get in the pool, Joyce begins, "[N]one of the peer pressure was as bad as Brandi's racial remarks. How dare she put black people in a box!"

Joyce explains, "Puerto Ricans are a mix of African, Spanish, and Indian. My great grandmother was black. So yes, I'm proud to say I'm a mix and very proud of my African lineage as well! But even if I didn't have it in my blood I would still not tolerate her racial remarks. She stereotypes and labels because I tell her I can't swim (which I do swim but like a puppy). And FYI, one of the best swimmers in the world is black! He is a gold medalist and his name is Cullen Jones."

One, that was a great and classy response to Brandi's gross joke (and I'm in no way a Joyce fan either), and two, I am glad that Joyce reminded me of Cullen Jones. I miss my Olympic swimmer crushes!  🙂

Hinting that Brandi may have opened up to her later in the day, Joyce continues, "Before dinner we all had cocktails outside, and I thought things were better. Brandi was talking about very private things that I won’t mention here because you should hear them from her the first time. Since she was being so open with such private matters, I thought we could move forward and have a beautiful dinner until Brandi decided to start calling me Jacqueline again, and it all went downhill from there. She was simply disrespectful!"

Luckily it was Splits to the rescue, and Joyce was able to go Emily Post"al" on Yolanda. She concludes, "Thank God I had a nice and sane girl next to me that defended me. This was the moment when I really thought Kyle was a good friend to me because that's what friends do; they stand up for you and have your back when everyone else is trying to push you down, which is exactly why I tried to interfere when Brandi and Yolanda were ganging up on her. Kyle was almost crying, and Yolanda would NOT let go! Come on! If you are a 'girl's girl,' learn to agree to disagree. You DON'T need to beat someone until you make her cry! And FYI, it is BAD ETIQUETTE to tell your host to shut up."

As much as I don't want to admit it, Joyce makes some pretty valid points.
