Dancing With The Stars Returns March 17, But Will Maksim Chmerkovskiy Be Back?

58th Annual Vienesse Opera Ball

Amen for eye candy! While Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy seems like he could be a bit of a diva, he certainly is easy on the eyes. Season eighteen of ABC's dance competition has announced a premiere date, but will Maks be along for the ride?

Right now, executives are remaining mum about what capacity–if any–Maks will be returning to the show, but they will tell us that March 17 is the night that DWTS will be back on your small screens, no doubt with a Bachelor cast off or three!

According to Access Hollywood, a spokesperson for the network won't say exactly what Maks will be doing on DWTS, but he had nothing buy praise for his stint as a guest judge last season, saying, “First of all, we thought Maks did a fabulous job with that."

He adds, “We’re gonna continue working with Maks as we go into the future. Nothing to announce now, but we will continue working with him.” Could he be anymore vague?

The show will also remain in its new format from last season and only air one night a week. Of the change, he tells the site, “We really do think the one night focused it down well,” adding, "“And it actually grew. We didn’t quite end the season — if you remember our finale wasn’t quite as high as it has been previously, but the season itself was higher. So we want to find a way to just turn that up a little bit. But we were very, very pleased to have it down to one night.”

I definitely think one night a week is plenty for DWTS…unless they can promise lots of face time for Maks!
