The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has been sentenced in Federal Court to 15 months in prison. She was initially facing a minimum of 21 months up to 27 months.
As we already reported, Joe Giudice will serve 41 months in prison with 2 years probation and has to pay more than $400,000. The judge is going to allow them to serve their time consecutively so their four daughters will have one parent at home.
Teresa broke down in court and tearfully told the judge how sorry she was. She also told the judge “I will make this right. My four daughters are my life. I don’t care about the TV show.”
NorthJersey reports she told the judge, “I fully take responsibility for my actions. I deeply love my family… My four daughters are my life . “I wrote this last night because I knew I was going to be nervous…” and “I’m scared, I’m not going to deny it, I’m really scared. I have heard you. I need to live to do things for myself. It’s time for me to wake up… I will make this right no matter what it takes.”
They each plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and three counts of bankruptcy fraud: hiding assets, falsifying court filings and giving false testimony.
